For Sale
Valenta ASW-17, Typhoon, Ocelot E, Genesis

3.5 Meter Valenta ASW-17. This is a super nice fully molded plane that loves the slope action. Receiver ready. Flaps, Ailerons, Spoilers, Elevator, Rudder controls. Plane is in very good condition with digital servos (spoilers are analogs). Some video from Point Fermin. One slightly bad landing (see video) with no damage. $800 shipped to US location. This plane will put a huge smile on your face!!
Valenta ASW-17 at Pt. Ferman (6 min 57 sec)

Typhoon 2 Meter - Yellow/Red scheme. I think it has all digital servos, and is receiver ready. This is a the glass version, with ballast slugs, no crashes. Some scuffs from use, but in very good condition. I always get offers to buy this plane. $600 shipped to US location.

Ocelot E - New unbuilt. This is super light and strong, and they perform great! White/Blue colors. Flapped version, X-tail. Payed $425, would like to get the same. Shipped to US location.

Genesis 60" Slope Racer WITH FLAPS- Partially built with alloy KST servos. (KST125MGs at the flaps, and KST115MGs at the ailerons and elevator. (wings are wired, but servos not attached. This was going to be my personal plane, but I ended up flying a non-flapped version. $449 shipped to US location.

Sorry, not really looking for trades at this time. Looking to thin the fleet a bit.

-Wayne

I'll probably bring it to the Speedo races this weekend if it has not sold. It is a really fun plane to fly.

Hey Wayne,

The Ocelot E, I'm guessing (please correct me if I'm wrong) this doesn't have the ballest and slugs due to it being the E version, and is this the glass version or carbon?

Thanx, Dirk

Hey Dirk,

You are correct, electric version, so no ballast tube and no nose. It is the glass version with some carbon in key spots. It is strong but light.

Hey Wayne,
Sorry to bother you but I have interest in it, just want to be sure first... What would be a good motor for this and what would be the largest that could be installed without pulling the nose off?

I had a Mega motor in runner that is 1700kv, I was going to run this motor on 4 cells 1600 and a small folding prop. I calculated it out to around 125mph tip speed yet enough thrust to climb well. I think this was around a 400 watt setup. This was going to be a different setup then most people would do in this plane. Something I wanted to try as I know the Ocelot-e is capable to pulling these speeds without an issue.

A more conventional setup would be a geared Neu motor pulling around 700 watts and a big folding prop. This type of set up will return lots of thrust but a bit less speed. A nice warm liner setup.

I would imagine this plane would be fine with a 1000 watts on board, but I think the best setup would be to keep the power system more conservative, and on the lighter side. An 1000 kv outrunner pulling 250 watts on 3S, 1500 would make this a nice floater, then come diving in for some speed passes. When it comes time to land, you could probably catch it thanks to the flaps and the lighter power system.

So it really is up to the builder. Do you want to have a power monster, or a floater? This plane is so well built, and so light, I wanted to take advantage of the light weight with my power system.

I was thinking a power monster but the more I rationalize a floater is probably best for those non-wind days, would like lots of torque/thrust to just climb fast, cut throttle and then float or drop in for some speed and hit hard turns...

Yep - that was my thought too.

There are other planes for the go fast stuff. I'm told the Genesis makes a really nice warmliner.
