than I am absolutely NOT HAPPY,

with this motor on 10 S Lipo I am thinking to go faster than 250 - 260 mph hopefully the potential is there for it from the power of the motor and also too from the plane as it looks like.

peter,

scorpion 4525 can handle the same power as rs 435.25
but you need a bigger prop than rolf to use the power of HK4525.
some people like stefan or andreas or djhamal use 4525 and reached speeds of 410+ km/h with 9 or 10S batteries.

rolfs setup with smaller and high spinning prop is something for people, who primary love loud screeching props with the blade tips near by supersonic speed and who wants to scare their neighborhood up to some km around the flying field.

in fact, fast are both ways.

I really wonder, why rolf wants to try a direct drive now.
we just know, that rolf is able to reach unbelievable speeds - he is the only man in germany so far, who is able to fly much faster than the pitchspeed of his prop, especially with his absolutely outstanding reisenauer geared drives.

Hello Scorpion-Fan,
you talking about the speed of the Hawk ? out of the past ?
as I said here I hope to go faster than 250 or 260 mph .

and about geared drives - seems Markus havenīt told you:

with the alleged drive specialists I do not want to be associated in the future because I do not have the demeanor may represent its alleged client philosophy.

think it says enough.

that I use this props is easy: I know they working fine on this motor because Erwin has tested them with a good performance.
for the neighborhood who will be scared thats my luck, where I fly is no neighborhood next miles around

best regards and crashfree flights.
btw. your harphie is .... no words for it ...... obermegamonster

Well I went out to my friends house to see the progress on the new motor mount...BUT forgot my camera...sorry guys.

The mount is great...beyond great...Chris is doing a great job and has already started the aluminum turning. The mount will squeeze through the front of the plane and fit flush with the nose. It will taper in to about 50.8mm (2 inches) from 60mm and extend the front a little over 10mm. It will be recessed a few mm in the front to allow for the bushing in the back of a TT Turbo Cool and clear the motor bolts. It will also be pinned or screwed in through the sides of the Fuz to ensure it will not rotate or shoot out the front like the last one. It is aluminum so it will also get rid of some motor heat which is a good thing. Aluminum BLING...gotta have it!

6KW here we come...Andi, I'm gonna push this thing to the ragged edge I just hope my ability is up to the task! This is a strong airframe and I believe it can take the speeds...we shall see

Not he woke up - I woke up, but I didnīt go to details here. I say it again:

I no longer want to be associated with said alleged drive specialist because his behaviour towards customers does not correspond to my philosophy in that matter.

and know back to the monster: @arctic, I am interested how your motorplate looks like know. hopefully you do some pics.

Maybe it was a mutual waking-up-moment which now both of them claim for themselves.

Mount is done!

My friend sent me a couple of pics tonight of the finished motor mount. All I could say is WOW Thanks so much Chris it is a work of art!

Should be back in the air as soon as the new spinner arrives...hopefully before the weekend....would like to get some flights in if the weather is good. The temps here now are great for speed runs

That's nice! It may not be such a bad idea to mount all our inrunners this way.
