I have been in the States for the past few weeks visiting my daughters, grandbabies and picking my son up from Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island.

As soon as I get back to Canada at the end of the month will be back at it on the Monster.

Motor should be here in the next week or so.....unless Henke finishes that Turboprop!

I start with the "little" baby - LP. 1.1 "grinning" he gets a special motor, from Rolf Strecker - as all works fine I put 2.2 KW inside the 700 gramm Rc Speed Baby by a pitch on the prop from over 380 km/h.

btw. I saw something interesting:
HJK has a limited edition from the LP. 1.1 and is thinking about to build in limited edition. the pic did not show how great it looks, the fuse is like glass , so you can see all parts you build inside.

That is alot of shiny carbon fiber for one man to get at one time....Santa only brings me socks ,now i would not mind if they were carbon fiber socks

he will bring more carbon in future
there are coming carbon spinnercabs, for props or folding props, specially for the birds not sooo far away

(looking at my socks - no they not carbon *grinning*)

oh what I forgot - the wings have a carbon DBox ;-) all stiffest and fine ;-)

You'll love the LP1.1, its a great lil plane. I havent had a chance to fly since I maidened mine. Too much work

So today after I found out the big smile in my face didn t end, I did some measurement... first part - I took my scale and measured the weight.

LP.1.1
fuselage: 50 gramm
wing: 160 gramm
elevator: 21 gramm
rudder: 6 gramm
total: 237 gramm

think with 2 times 2S 2200 mAh, Strecker Motor, YGE ESC Servos etc.. total weight will be around 700 gramm. by a motorpower from around 1,8 KW and a pitch speed from around 380 km/h it will give a lot of fun.

Monster 1.1
fuselage: 137 gramm
wing: 488 gramm
elevator: 42 gramm
rudder: 10 gramm
total: 669 gramm

Motor will be a strecker special motor, Lipo 8S, flightweight with all components around 1900 gramm. couldnt wait to go real fast

otherwise if someone interested I sell the total drive from my mini hawk including mini hawk as a gift..... ok he is very fast but not fast enough for me ;-)

Rolf - is that Strecker an outrunner? Are you going to mount it out on the nose?

Man...mine came out to 719 grams.

for the weight - thats in the margin and did you make measure with the firewall, horns, and cover for servos ? I am not.

yes Rolf Strecker his motors are only outrunners. all handmade by himselft.
ppl who are interested send me pn.

he builds outrunners with the motomountingplate and the cable on the back and very lightweight but with huge a lot of power.
lot of speeders fly his motors.
mine comes inside the fuse only the fan from the motor outside.

on 8S 10S or 12S working. I start with 8S Lipo 3000 mAh
ESC - Sunrise ICE HV 120 A ( by 10S - 12S I take the Sunrise ICE HV 180 A )
Prop: start with 7x10 go than higher
