Hello again billpa,

Well, I tested all diversity settings (1 untill 10) in 12 batteries/flights today.
The result... a little bit better but looks overall to much at my last made video.
Look for yourself;
Nonpublic EagleEyes beta 2 firmware update. My test-results after 12 flights. (3 min 31 sec)

To be short... takes to long to switch to the helical on distance and random switching
in the 100/600 meter range. Sorry

René

Billpa, the sunny side... your not alone with this.
Look at a video from the ImmersionRC DUO5800v2 5.8GHz Diversity Receiver.
Same problems with this combi antenna's (SPW & Helical).

5_8RangeExample (1 min 9 sec)

Hope this gives you extra power to sort things out

Hi ReneNL, that's really interesting info. Are you using the same transmitter that is being bundled with the RC305, with the Duo?

Come to think of it, what I am seeing on the oscilloscope coming out of the RC305 could easily be an issue with the Tx rather than the Rx.

Hello billpa,
I'm not sure what you mean. This is not my movie but one I found on YouTube. I do not own Immersion transmitters or receivers. What I do use is the transmitter that is stock with the 305 receivers. Look at (for example) foxtechfpv.com. They come in 200, 400, and 500 mw shape. I own them all and can try another one if you like me to.

Sorry, Rene. I thought this was a test you ran.

I am going to do some additional changes, and will report back when those are ready.

I bought a Tracker with 10 turn helical and use the Eagle Tree for now as an expensive video-splitter.
My groundstation is still build for diversity so any updates are welcome and will be tested.

My believe that it's not only the use of the 305 reveivers in combi with helicals and other 'new' antenna's but also the brightness
of the more and more populair Pixim cams these days availible for less money than ever.

Aldo some Pixim cams are working very nice with the beta's, ti's not a garantee these wil work for everyone.
Rest to say that I see the same problems with the other diversity builders, the problem seems complex I guess.

Let's hope EagleEyes will be the first with perfect diversity

Good luck Bill, waiting for the next update,

René

last settings not stored

@billpa
I´ve flashed the Eagle Eyes software with the new one, which you have recommended in this thread. The diversity function works fine now! However when the eagle eyes is switched off the last settings are not safed. After restart the device always operates in AV1. For me this is an issue because the EE is mounted in a box and I have to open it all times in order to reenter diversity mode. Can you pls. fix this issue?

Hi Xian01, thanks for this report. Are you using the OSD Pro? If so, you need to set the channel in the OSD Pro menus, as that setting will override the button setting.

Or, if you are not using the OSD Pro, we will investigate the issue further.

No I don't use OSD.

I just updated the firmware with 10.53 alpha version. The problem is that "EagleEyes FPV Station" always forgets the last settings. So in my case I use it only as diversity. Power off-> Power On. Eagle Eyes starts at AV1. Diversity LED is not switched on.
So I have installed 10.04 from your website and this issue is solved. Last setting is diversity mode and EE will start in diversity mode.
