Thanks for the help. If I wanted to gut the stock edf assembly, which 70mm/motor unit would you suggest that would give me about 650gr of thrust for each motor using either a 3S or 4S lipo.

The problem is that 70mm EDF are usually meant for high powered setups and cosequently on the heavier side and will be overkill for you r model. That A-10 model really should have had only 55 or 64mm fan units. The only 70mm fan unit I think will be close to what you have is the GWS unit they used in the A-4 they sold.

The GWS EDF-75X4A is a good option but the EM400 motor doesn't provide enough thrust for my plane. Might have to look at getting a set of 64mm nacelles from an old Dynam or Starmax A10 and try a retrofit.

I have this Sapac Typhoon eurofighter with a stock setup. Yesterday I sucked up a corn leaf and damaged the rotor. I want to install one of your motor/edf combos in it with a 4s 2200 30c battery. What do you suggest?

Yes it is a 64mm edf unit, sorry about that

What amp ESC do you have in now?

There is a 36amp CC in it now but I can put up to a 75amp it needed.

My guess looking at the size of the model is that Setup C would be preferred (see post #3 in this thread).

What do you think of the stock habu 2 system in the P3 Ef-16 (Eflite 3200 kv motor, 55 amp esc, eflite delta v15 fan and housing? Will it fly on 3s? It is pulling around 350 watts and the specs say the fan should make around 1.8lbs thrust. I am not looking for a speed demon, just a great flyer.

350 watts will fly a Phase 3 F16, the only thing is the power system is kind of heavy for the watts putting out. For comparison, the Wicked 4800 motor in one of the 64mm fan units I sell

will put out ~350-380 watts on 3S yet the motor and fan unit will weight less than just the Eflite 3200 motor. So you will be carrying some extra weight using that stock Habu setup.

Don I just ordered a BH Mini YF-22 50mm Raptor. Not sure what the Stock Kv motor is? Has a 20A ESC, won't be enough...

I bought three 3S Zippy Compact 1800 25C packs for starters on the stock system.

Would like to Upgrade to a Combo 5400? 6000? Balanced. 30A ESC needed?

What's your thoughts? I had an F/A 18A a couple years ago with a Wicked 4400 on 3S 2200. Was nice speed.

Guess I am looking for Vertical Power, not Speed so much, to emulate the tail standing capabilities of the real F-22. So maybe the 5400 Kv is better?

Just had this thought, wonder if a 64mm Fan would fit in there with some carving?
