What adhesive do you use for fixing the planking?

Been using thin ca. A small drop will crawl along a join quite a distance.

heya mate, you should give some ambroid a try, ( balsa cement ) it is great for planking, obviously takes longer to dry than CA, but quicker than aliphatic, and it sands beautifully,
which is a real bonus when dealing with thin planking.

Thanks for the suggestion Trumps. I used to use Ambroid exclusively.... before I discovered ca. For some things I find infinite patience, other times it goes away. This is why I'll never be an ultra scale modeler.

dummy motor

There was no string of appropriate diameter for simulating cooling fins, so 20lb. test nylon fishing line was used.

I am informed the Mercedes was water cooled... no fins. Well, mine will be the only air cooled Albatros. Cooked rear cyliders and all!
