That size sound like the heatshrink used on Nicad/Nimh packs. You could try some of the RC cars hobby shops and web sites, as many RC cars still use Nimh cells.

A Google on '60mm heat shrink tubing', found some on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nk...nk+tubing+60mm

I believe NY Blimp or something like that, is where I bought this before.

Thanks for the leads but they want larger quanaties and is $0.50 cent a foot plus, the going rate now? Any others out there? I would perfer light weight if it can be found.

Thanks,

Bill

Wow! Found some 2" & 3" clear at a san Diego mail order hobby shop but they want $2.00 a foot. Am I out of touch and/or is that the going rate now?

This is just the first one that came up on ebay.com, (my previous link was ebay.co.uk), scroll to the bottom for the larger sizes -

Wildbill,

Mylar heatshrink is the super thin stuff, for battery packs exactly. Is this the type you're searching for? Wish I could find a source myself without ordering 2000 feet. Try this place http://www.insulationproducts.com/mylar_tubing.html

Often they will sample you a few feet.
