I used Tamiya Semi Gloss clear coat. 5 light coats - just enough to see that wet look each time. Negligible weight gain.

Tamiya Spray paint TS-8 Italian Red seems a good patch up paint for the Mig although it is glossier. The Mig looks like it is semi gloss - the Italian red is gloss.

The board is spec'ed for 4.9A so I will be using an external ESC.

Will you still ne useing the stock board to maintain the as3x capabilities. If so how do you hook up.the esc?

Just maidened my mig in 15 20 mph winds. Shes a quick little ship, especially woth those tail.winds. And wow sje really slowes down well. Pretty floaty
