Who is selling the EVO? Is there a wait or are they readily available?
Thanks, Walter

All I can get currently are 9 channel EVOs with

Where do we find out all the features and mixing
available? I'm interested, but want to know I'm going
to get everything mixed that I want. My Eclipse won't
do all I want.

Re: [RCSE] Multiplex Evo

This is from a post on Lift Zone....

"I believe that Mike Shellim of rc-soar.com has
commenced work on an Evo manual similar to his 3030
manual. We have a great deal to thank Mike for, it was
finding his on-line review of the 3030 several years
ago that tipped the balance for me and allowed me to
change my mind about those weird European radios and
go out and risk buying the 3030."

Re: [RCSE] Multiplex Evo

Well, for us lazy folks with only a mild curiosity; how about a basic
comparison of functionalities. Meaning how does the EVO compare to the
3030, 4000, Stylus, 9C, 8U, etc...

I have been flying an Evo 9 for two months now and really like it. So far,
I have been flying my Grand Esteem and Eraser Extreme with my Evo and like
it so well I have sold my Eclipses. It will do anything I need and the
feel and balance is so superior to anything else I have ever flown that I
don't ever expect to go back to any of the ToysRUs black plastic
porcupines. They feel so clunky after my Evo and Cockpit radios. I have
been using the Grand Esteem as a trainer to get used to flying and landing
with ailerons and flaps again. I haven't flow anythng except RES since my
eye surgery back in 1997. Next year will be different.

I think the Evo is much easier to program than anything I have used once I
decipher the manual. Multiplex programming is nothing like the oriental
radios and is much more logical. The biggest problem I have had is
understanding the manual.

For a massive amount of user info about the Evo visit the radios forum on www.rcgroups.com where there is a current and very large thread about Evo capabilities and programming.

Someone asked about a comparison, the Evo roughly takes over as a modernised 3030 still way short of the 4000, but then everything other than perhaps an MC24 is way short of the 4000. The Evo is somewhere in between a Futaba9C and 9Z for outright ability, but nicer to use than any of them.
