'Mastering Radio Controlled Flight' - Price!!!

Man, guess it's out of print, but I just noticed what copies are selling for $75 and up.

I was just about to recommend it to the guy who posted looking for help getting started in 3D, but.........

Arron(the km) said they are working with scott stoops to update the book and re publish it.

Hopefully when that happens it won't cost so much

Back in March Scott said he was no longer working for the publishing company. He also siad that there were a few copies he had that he would sign and sell for original price, I picked one up (to have at home, I keep a copy out on the boat with me.) There was some talk about publishing the book agian in PDF form, but I don't think that is going to happen. You might try and PMing him and see if there are anymore copies. sukhoi26mx is Scotts screen name here on RCG.

I hope Scott brings the book back in some form. It really helped me, and I still read it.

Looking forward to it. You might also check into publishing via amazon/kindle, if the photos and diagrams can be rendered well.

I'm behind the 8-ball on this. This has been a hard spring/early summer for me and my family with a couple of unexpected death's in the family that we're still sorting through. None involving my children or wife, so that's good, but still dealing with some unexpected issues that are to date unresolved. Sucks being the responsible "siblings"... more crap to sort through...

I will be updating the book, and will include weeble's, snake, pop top, etc, so probably around 6 new figures. Just need some time and a new laptop to get it going.

Again, sorry that I have let this stuff lapse, and for my lack of involvement on RCG seeing this so late. Been one hell of a lousy spring so far...

I'll get it updated and back in print ASAP.

Scott

My condolences to you and to the family. I've recently purchased the book, which I called "my rcplanes bible" and already wearing it out. I'm looking forward to the update when it comes out.

Scott, I'm glad to hear your immeadiate family is well, and sorry you lost some loved ones.

I'm happy to hear the book is coming back. I insist that all my students get it, and it really helps me out that they learn so much from it. Once they have soloed and are starting to learn aerobatics, the book gives them a solid enough foundation that they can do most of it on their own. I generally just have to help them here and there with tightening things up.

I probably need to get a back up copy this time too. Mine is getting pretty tattered from all the use.

Thanks Doc and Chopper - I appreciate it. FWIW, the price will remain in the $24 dollar range.

Amazing how quickly human's devolve when they see an opportunity to profit. Kind of like scalpers charging 2-3 times what a they paid for something. Oh well, human nature I guess. I, however, think that $24 is a fair price and will keep it there...
