You can save almost all. I lost my model and after 5 months I got it back in my hands. Just open all and dry it on radiator os something that produces heat around 50-60°C and left it for two days at least. Mybe you will have to change microphone in go pro, but naza should work. I saved almost all gear from fpv model that way, only wideo link works strange and fpv camera, but I have to test them separate to see where is problem. now all components fly with dji clone frame. I wrote to DJI about my advanture and they were out of words...

Lol..That's the one I sold complete with Naza and GPS and that one flew perfect!!!! What causes YAW on them?? Maybe I can look in to it on the one I have now... Unless you say because of the arms on the TBS as these ones are metal.

You could be trying to fly a 2x4. (surprised someone hasn't tried) Just a quad running 4 x Avroto M2814-11S with 11x5 Graupners (balanced) on 4s I might could be more help with a 2x4! A quick glance at motor specs says max thrust = 60 oz on 4S. You're probably okay with enough lifting power!

I don't think you'll have any problems.
The frame is a variation of a flamewheel copy.
Put the MC where you are suggesting (intersection of 1-3 and 2-4 lines) on the middle frame to protect it.

It has already been suggested but I want to reiterate that putting black electrical tape on the LEFT side of the Naza controller should help your problem. Apparently direct sunlight will affect the vertical stability and the tape will fix the problem, it worked for me.

To test this, hover your quad preferably in the late day sun when there are distinct shadows on the ground. First hover while the left side of the Naza is in the shade, now yaw the quad until the left side of the Naza is in direct sunlight. You should see a sharp climb or descent which will get better when you yaw back into the shade.

Let us know if this helps as your experience will help someone else

No, idiots at hobbyking - you saw that moron with his deadcat video?

If he's configured his quad like the Ecilops website pictures it, his FC is exposed to light.
At least he can start with tape on the FC.
Maybe that will cure some of his issues.
With the Camera and Battery on a pendulum, he's probably got more worries...

I noticed that X formation.
That's why I said do the 1-3 2-4 thing.
It should get you closer to the center of the rotor plane. (lift center)
To get it perfect, you'll need to do vector diagram of the frame to find the true center of force.
My gut tells me its where the lines intersect, but not positive.
And once you start adding things (camera, battery, etc) the asymmetrical frame might make the COG shift forwards or backwards.
Keeping the lift center and the load center close to each other may be difficult.
The longer moment arms that the two front motors enjoy may help compensate...
This may be one where you have to count on the FC to correct for the imbalance.
