I just purchased this item this morning for that very reason. I want to maintain constant 12v to my camera and vTX that are both powered from a single 3s flight pack. I have other products from the same manufacturer and they all seem of great quality. Item already shipped per my email.

have you hooked it up to a volt meter, and put a load on the battery ie 16 amps or so, and see if the voltage drop in the battery affects the output voltage of this little unit (i think its called gain)
