Minnie Mambo Video

Here's a clip of my recently built Minnie Mambo flying at SMALL this past weekend. It's running a Cox Surestart .049 with intake throttle, stock head, and black rubber ducky 6x3 prop. Turn up the volume and listen to it putter by at low partial throttle.

Minnie Mambo RC Plane Cox .049 (2 min 49 sec)

Too windy is a relative term. I wished it had been calmer but that's what we were dealt that day.

This Minnie Mambo is very heavy for Surestart power. Weighs 22oz, twice as much as most of my other Cox planes. The 6x3 works best on this one. The 5x3 gets more rpms but the plane doesn't climb well with it. A 6x4 is too much prop for most reedie .049s imho.

I'd have to say my overall easiest 1/2A to build and fly was the Pong Two. I have some older videos of the ones I built on youtube.

Another nice video! Looks like you needed some serious down elevator to get some penetration against the wind just before landing.
