Build Log
HoverThings.com HT-FPV Black Frame Build Up

So after tuning up at Witespy's VC-450 for a relative of mine, and seeing the abuse it took without breaking a single part I was so impressed that I wanted to build up the new FPV frame for some Fast Forward Fun FPV Flying. (lots of Fs)

Components:
HT-FPV Frame http://www.hoverthings.com/frame-sets/htfpvblack.html
iPower 2217Q 880kv Motors http://www.altitudehobbies.com/new-m...ti-rotor-motor
DYS SimonK 30A ESCs http://www.quadroufo.com/product_inf...pog66hvfdbjsl0
Naze32 Flight Controller http://abusemark.com/store/index.php...products_id=30
GemFan Carbon Mix 9x4.7 Props http://gothelirc.com/shopdisplayprod...=GF+Propellers

Got the Frame today, have the FC, props, ECS and wiring... just waiting on motors..... i think tomorrow sometime

Literally this frame took me about 30mins to built. It was the easiest frame and most well documented frame I have built...

Gaui 330x
Multiwiicopter.com Scarab X4
Rusty's Frames
RC-Carbon Y6
OMGFly X4

The included tools (Wiha) are top notch and would not be included in a less frame....

The thing is crazy stiff and tons of room. I am looking forward to putting some FPV gear on this little guy!

great question.... honestly im not sure yet.

I have a truck load of batteries....

4s5000
4s4000
4s2200
3s5000
3s3300
3s2200
3s800
3s500
so im not buying anything new for this....

I will try it with the 3s2200 and 3s3300 and if they are not enough then ill use my 4s2200s on it.... i dont think 4s4000 is going to be good for this little guy

i have 8",9" and 10" props

so looking at ecalc 10" + 3s and 8"+ 4s = similar thrust.....for what that worth

On this frame you probably want to stick with the 8" props, and the 3s 3300 would be great.

Have you seen Juz's videos thats 8" on 3s I believe. Also this is a different frame, it wasn't really built for 10" props from what I remember.

Juz uses 1200 kv motors hence why he has 8" props.

Adidas4275 - very nice looking build and lots of nice photos of it so far.

Here are pics of my HT-FPV build with the iPower 2212Q motors. Running it on 3S 2200-3300 with 9" Gemfan props. You could also probably go with 10" no problem with the lower kv but it might show in the GoPro camera at that size. GWS 9X5X3 would be another good choice.

It was build for a customer so I've not flown it alot first hand, only a maiden and a few other test flights in the back yard.

One thing we have noticed with the iPower motors is that they seem to spin off the prop nut easily, so you may want to go with some M6 nylon lock nuts. Also keep in mind that the adapter is M6 so the 8" GemFan props wont fit unless you ream them out as they are 5mm, the 9" and 10" are 6mm so fit with no spacer needed.

Also on the 9" props, you'll need to put the prop adapter washer on upside down as the shape of the 9" props at the hub will cause it to not sit flat with the washer the normal way.

PS - Didn't mean to hijack your thread, but your planned build was so similar to my recent one I thought I post some info for you as reference. Any questions on it just ask.
