I have 2 photos now, more can be uploaded by this evening, if you are still interested. What exactly would you like to know? The main thing is, the bottom plate (some material similar to G10) is mounted to the bottom of the quad by 4 rubber mounts to decrease the vibrations. The gimbal is hard mounted to this plate, Gopro2 hard mounted to the gimbal.

Just one thing to mention, to the frame:
I have crashed the bird a few days ago and one of the motor mount plates has bent to 90 degree. The material which is made from (alu) is such strong so I had to make it straight again by using cramp and hammer. When I experienced that, I have ordered one more frame immediately. The frame is just near to perfect for beginners like me, surely not for professionals. My backup quad will use again this frame, but different motors and controller.

Are you using NTM 35-30 motors on this setup?
and what battery is used and how it is fixed? I'm afraid that just velcro straps are not enough....

Nice gimbal, no servos needed for stabilization. I'll try this for my camera.

Yes it can. Thats how I built mine. I am really impressed with the HAL. Here is a video i took of my first flight. I have a pretty tight closeup at the beginning so you can see the wiring.

Turnigy HAL first flight and some KK2 calibration (5 min 18 sec)

I shall stick back to this thread again. Sorry for late answer, I was busy with building my KK2.0 diy quad and testing it.

Yes I am using Tiger Mt2814's the 770kv version. I decided for them for only one reason: they have nearly perfect bearing so cause very little or no vibrations.

My AUW is now 2110g, flight time is 9 min with 5Ah 32 lipo battery. Although the HAL frame is quite heavy, on the other side this helps dampening the unwanted vibrations accross the frame I think. This is my first frame where I do not have to use the special antivibration dampener that I used to build into all previous projects. Now I get a vibration-free video in 1080p while in hover or pretty moves. In strong ascent/descent there is still a little bit of jello but it can be eliminated by some less sofisticated techniques.

In the meantime I have made a few changes to the config and written it down here:

Unfortunately there are 2 threads here dedicated to H.A.L. so I do not know where to post

Why you changed props from 12x4.5 to 13x6.5 ? Did you get any benefits from it?
