This thing has got pretty tight space for servo mods.
1mm size difference could take so much time off from you.
Well, the only dimension I'm slightly worried about is the servo height, for all other dimensions there's room for a mm or two extra space.

No, but if your thinking brushless, I am sure a 1500kv using the stock blade would be enough. I just did a large fixed pitch using a 200okv on 7.4 volts and the tail holds very well and I had to tune it down some.
I had a 1500kv I got as an alternate for that that I will try on this when I kill the stock tail motor.

Unfortunately, out of stock at the moment.....the MasterCP is a pretty popular heli right now. It's like an unsung hero in Walkera's hanger. I'm not going to say it's better than the more expensive heli's in this size but for what a beginner/intermediate needs...it does just fine.

Thanks for the replies all, I might have to buy, buy, buy!!!

Are those motors you mentioned brushed as well?

My Bird Looks Angry

I have a hard time with orientation when my heli is flying high & on gloomy wethear.
The red & yellow covering now looks so much better in the air.
The White Skids is also very visible during flights.

The fixed pitch was brushed on both mail and tail motors originally. It now has an EH200 4100kv brushless main running 11.1V and a 2000kv 7.4v tail with a HK401B Gyro. I will probably change the gyro to a GY250 later, but this one works pretty well. I still need a lot of fine tuning because I also changed the flybar from weight to paddles and it is now more responsive than my 450. Almost too much to handle. I have some pictutes on my blog. It really was almost a waste of time, but it was a fun project and something I can fly at 200 feet high.

So 1500KV 3S BL motor should work (?).
I have to find (or I may have one?) a 3S BL motor for the tail.
As you probably know (?), BL motor should only be used with voltage max voltage as specified by manufacturer. They could burn even if no throttle is applied or not running if higher voltage is applied across the wires. I have smoked an expensive HET motor on the bench after plugging a 4S lipo on a 3S HET motor.
For now, I'll keep the tail stock, but I may convert it to BL eventually.
Hope it doesn't crap out on me midflight though.

It would be nice to find an inrunner if I'd pursue with the project.
I could probably try it out and see how it works.

Feed back from some experienced flyers please....

Looking at getting a Master CP after flying a FP 9116 for a couple months. However before I do this I am buying a SIM.

Question is what DEVO transmitter should I get that is newbie friendly (DEVO 7E had had sum good reviews )?..... and will work on a flight SIM? .....I have looked at the Phoenix 4 SIM but doesn't look like the DEVO works on there?

Please inform me haha.....
