It seems that the Master CP is more friendly for beginners. If you read the V120D02S thread, almost all recent posters fly 3D.

You dont need the full range if one is running with gov mode.

I asked Jazzjohn to measure the servo signals, and the results are fairly interresting.

"I measured the output of the elevator channel on the Master CP receiver under these conditions:

Pitch curve: -55% to +55% (Stunt mode)
ELEV/AIL EXT: pointer between 10 and 11 o'clock positions

Measurements:
Collective full negative: 1.3 milliseconds pulse width
Collective full positive: 1.7 milliseconds pulse width
Pulse amplitude: 3.5 volts
Period (time from one leading edge to next): 14.6 milliseconds
"

So the mcp servos are using 3.5 v and a refresh rate of ~70hz.

Not exactly standard specs for digital servos.
I will try mine without converter , thinks for the tip .

Wizard ? I just spend to much time on RCGroups, Started with this hobby in the end of august with a really crappy no-name coax.

Iv now progressed to stall turns and figure 8's with my master cp, and ugly flips/rolls and loops with the mini .

Edit: post 666. How fitting.

Can we get Walkera to fix this safety issue?

Seems like Walkera would see it as a liability issue if nothing else.
I can't believe they haven't issued a fix yet. It would probably take a few lines of code -not a large effort. What do they need -a letter from a lawyer representing an injured bystander?

Does anybody here have any person's contact information inside of Walkera? If we had an individual and an email address, we could each send emails to get their attention.

Or... are there any other ideas?

No idea, we still havent gotten any feedback on the document tom sent in .

Seems walkera really dosn't care at all about international customers.

If i lived in the us id be tempted to damage something by flying out of range and hitting thold on my devo 7E. Then going after walkera.

Walkera even had the nerve to say the Devo 7e has a range of 3-500m.

Of course I wouldn't expect them to say 'oh you'll get a solid 70-80 yards out of it before signal loss'.

Dear Sir/Madam

Good day!
This is Ella Zhou, from Guangzhou Walkera Technology CO.,LTD
It's my honor to answer your question. The maximum range for DEVO7E is 300-500m.If you have any question ,please feel free to ask me.

Hello Walkera,

I have a question for you about the 7E...
What is the maximum range for transmission, how far can a model fly before it will lose the transmitters signal?

Thank you!

HobbyOne is basically the Internet retailing arm of Walkera.

OK, thanks. I just sent an email to
info@hobbyone.com.hk
describing the danger of the delayed throttle hold action.

Honestly, I've generally found Walkera ok when responding to emails
- usually I get a response in a day or two.

I've not asked them about the Devo 7E range, or the MasterCP throttle hold problem though....

At what email address do you contact them?

The Master CP is good value if you compare it to other 250 sized helis. But it is not that good value when compared to the V450D03. The latter already has metal geared servos installed, is brushless, and has a variable pitch tail. There are very few complaints about its receiver or the heli as a whole. Too bad I don't have anywhere I can fly a 450 safely anymore. In fact, I haven't flown mine for over a year.

Is banggood the cheapest place to get walkera helis? I looked and looked and everywhere else seems to come out more expensive with shipping besides xheli but they dont take paypal.

I got my new metal gear servos today and installed them. I leveled the swashplate with the servos in the neutral state from my servo testor. (I hope that was ok) And then, when I went to try it out, I throttled it up and it would not take off at 100% throttle!!! It came close but not quite... Any ideas??
