Another reason why...

I don't participate in discussions down here any more.

But I'm getting a lot of writing done, and work, and time with my family, and...

I feel it's just the opposite. I find it relaxing to be able to vent my frustrations and hear others opinions even if I do not agree. Also I don't take it that seriously. So come on back tolladay, we miss you.

That was a memorable episode of the Simpsons, for sure

I understand. During those times when I've been engrossed here... I got very little model building done.

Yeah I can agree,

I used too, I no longer take things to heart on here anymore. There's enough stress in life thats beyond our control.

Everyones guard comes down occassionally and you find we all have many things in common.

It's interesting to see the breadth of people's opinions here on LTUP (even if the rest of you are plainly 'wrong'! ).

I never let it upset me, as my opinion about anything is plainly determined by me - and I'm the only one who could change it (despite what every one else might think! ).

As I've said before, hearing and testing such opinions of others enables me to pick up bits that give me the option to change/broaden my opinion.

... And also to 'chew the fat' with a bunch of loonies...

+1.

Especially the come back part. We need more liberals to bash around down here in the basement.

They don't take it well.

They get mad and pick up their toys and threaten to go home...
I will say that once in awhile, they put up a good arguement.....

It's like watching the chicken play the piano for his corn, fascinating at first, then you realize the chicken brain is only focused on the corn, and the piano playing never improves.

Yep. It's far better to ride in once in awhile on a high horse and insult everyone and then leave again. Gives you a huge ego boost and makes the world a better place.

Like George Blanda described the smell at the old Rice Stadium painted blue for the Houston Oilers....."A little kitty crept in, crapped, and crept out!"

Did you find something insulting? Please be so kind as to point it out.

Otherwise one might assume you were following your own advice.
