Whowhatwhere, thanks mate, she is getting there! I am getting her done at a reasonable pace, being as I can only work on her every second week. I was planing on getting her done within 6 months, and at this stage should come in under thatIf I had the chance she would be finished already it is such a nice kit to build!

Flew back home this morning and just couldn't help myself, i figured that i had better get the undercarrage sorted. the wheel pants were glued together, after opening up one of the outer 1/8 layers to allow a little more room for the wheels.
the pants have 3 ply pieces which are glued into the inner 2 laminations so as to provide mounting points for the gear legs. the pants were sanded to shape and will be covered with polyspan along with the rest.
the undercarrage legs had their balsa infill cut and fitted, and some balsa was built up and shaped at the top of the undercarrage legs to help fare them into the fuselage.
still have to decide exactly how i am going to locate the wheels on the axles, it will either be collets, which i am not a big fan of, or i might sort out another method.

made up the radiator this morning, used some 4mm sheet, and some triangle stock, the louvre is cut from some 1mm styrene sheet. when it's all done and covered i will put some mesh screen inside as the radiator core.

put it all together for the last time before i start covering, so here are your bare bones shots Pete, hope they are sufficient.

just did a weighin, the complete airframe plus motor, ESC, and spinner is 1626g, or 57.35oz, 3.58lb in the old money. if i include a 3S4400 pack (which i had on hand) and the 6 servos we come in at 2030g, or 71.6oz, 4.47lb. i have about 230g or 8oz to play with for covering and detailing to get her in at 5lb or less. with the length of the battery tray and longish nose there should be no need to worry about getting the CG without adding weight. will have to work out the wing area and get some sort of idea what the loading will be.
