wow iam not so inclined to put a sd card in my hornet now... why put functions on there like this dont they test them before production? no wonder it comes with no sd card

Same here, I bought 2x FY31AP and Hornets only to find all these problems croping up that should have been properly tested before releasing the units for sale. Really has put me off ever buying another FY AP or OSD ever again.

I won't put an SD card in, I won't link it the GCS and I won't use waypoints because of all the "issues" so that doesn't leave many features left

Looking forward to trying this app though once they have it sorted.

The GCS is super stupid buggy, but once you get it working it does work for waypoints and such pretty well, plus only the new GCS can switch waypoint mode between waypoint mode, altitude hold, and heading hold.

I love my FY31AP, it works quite well without problems, and the Hornet works well too with exception ot the SD card bug.

Thanks NorCalMatCat for doing the reverse engineering, looking forward to trying it on my Hornet OSD when I finally get in the air!

Have e-mailed that service address to hassle them for a fix to the memory card problem.

I contacted FY and asked them for the log file format as it would be helpful.

They sent me a copy of an internal memo suggesting it would be good to have this released, so when I get it I'll post it here.

Awesome! I am sure most of the unsolved bits are things like the AP function (RTH, Waypoint, etc), plus I still haven't gotten the formula just right yet for pitch and roll so that would be handy too .

our technical engineer are working with it now. we think the problem will be solved soon. would you mind tell us usually how much memory capacity do you guys use? and what kind of SD type do you use? FAT16? FAT32? OR NTFS? we are really appreciated, if you can offer more information to help us.

So what will be the best way to get the logs into your system.

Will there be a feature to upload a raw log and add a title to it?

Will it spit out a downloadable KML?

I have asked Mavis to just post the protocol on this thread when ready.

Well once I get the protocol I am going to improve the KML rendering for one, but also I am going to start putting into place the code to process all of the rest of the data like roll, pitch, etc, once it can process it all down to usable data I will start working on something that can display the info usefully.

A first thought is utilising google earth's advanced track format which allows for things such as roll and pitch and yaw data and you can essentially do a digital FPV flight.

But my long term goal is to do something that can tie the data to a video.

If there is enough support for it I could whip up some sort of flight log manager that could via the website keep track of your logs and some tools for things like KML export, maybe other formats for different software?
