I downloaded the Manual for the heli yesterday and the manual includes the NASA701 TX so I got in touch with the seller to find out what TX it comes with as the list states it is the 706.

He then emailed me back to say that mine is the brand new model which includes the new NASA701 TX.

So I can't wait to get it on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The only problem is I wont be able to play with it for at least 1 week as we are in the middle of moveing house this Wednesday and Thursday.

By programmable do you mean that it doesn't have to be connected to a computer like the 706 to change parameters? Maybe I should have waited a few more weeks before buying my WaspWHV00009). It figures!

In the "Normal Flight" video on the Skyartec website, why is the tail blowing out during spool up? Is this usual for this chopper?

The link to the page or link to the video you reference would be helpful. Skyartec Website has many videos and links to videos. Also we not really understanding what you mean by part of your question; "why is the tail blowing out during spool up?" Can you explain or give more detail about the term you are using: "blowing out"

Regards

I may be using an incorrect term due to my inexperience . What I meant was when he spools up the chopper, it turns counter clockwise, and then apparently he gives opposite rudder (or is it the gyro?) to correct, before taking off in the same heading he initially placed the heli in on the ground. Is this initial rapid counter-clockwise yaw normal for a heli with a belt-driven tail rotor? Or maybe the effect of a fast spool-up?

Thanks in advance!

During spool up the tail wants to move in the opposite direction of the rotation of the main blades because of the torque effect of the main rotor. The gyro is head holding immediately, however the tail rotor needs to get up to speed to have enough effect to hold the tail in position as dictated by the gyro. The tail rotor rotation speed is dependent on the main rotor rotation speed as it is belt driven off of the main rotor gear. Yes, at lower head speed some rudder control may have to be introduced to counter the torque effect until the tail rotor gets up to speed. On a smaller light weight helicopter like the X3 the torque effect might be a little more exaggerated. I have found that it is a little less pronounced on the larger, heavier helicopters like the Skyartec Ninja400

Max
