Congrats! Alan.

I was at the field when i decided to move my batts back about 1cm more. Dont know where the CG is now..but the plane is BANG On.. I wouldnt doubt that 60mm is the place to be. 55mm is very good for the novice or if your a bit nervous on the maiden.

as fo rthe cg I believe the sweet spot is 58mm..
now that I'm going ot use the metal shroud I might need to drop the internal bec and use an external life to help balance the plane.. btw after flying this plane I almost regreted that I used this fan on this plane

Hi Gaz, are you using those struts on your picture in your L-59? Maybe on grass as well? Do they fit without major extension on the wheelwells?

Thanks, Chris

No extension to the wells I treated the retracts as materials and machined something to fit the wells from them.

Way to go Croc! Im very jelious

Winter will be here in another month.. Ill have plenty of time to get myself one thouse engines

Looking forward to your build. Suggest you do it in your blog.

Strongly recommend you Glass the top and bottom of the wings where they join together for this project. I would also use the intake to beef up the intake rings..but cut off the remaining 80% off ducting.

Good luck

dissappointing perforance after replacing the CS12...
nothing to do with the first 2 flights when the fan blown.

L-59 with LAnder 9 stator shroud (2 min 59 sec)

have to find what's to blame

maybe the exhaust tube that as far as I reeber it was like this one
end points are ok.. amps at 86.. used to be 100 ? ?? have to do it all over again..

it looked a tiny bit tail heavy just enough to not allow it to get on step, did you re cg it after adding the heavier alloy housing? it sounded good though.

a couple of times in the video it appeared like when you cut the power the nose came up immediately.......a sign of tail heavy also it appeared to be dragging her tail around as you flew...... also a sign of tail heavy... just my observations....the pilot would have a much better feel for these things

I was the pilot.. I think I answered those concerns..
the power felt lacking fro the ground..

it looks tailgeavy because I was keeping elevator up cause I was feeling insecure with so much lack of power..
