Just bought mine too. CS 12 blader, RC Lander retracts, 12S or 8S power. I just need a motor and servos. Yeehah!

Looks like they're back in stock!
I wouldn't use HXT900's in any application in this jet, other than perhaps activating an air retract system. Get some larger metal gear servos. These are a nice choice if you don't want to go digital: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8752 |

Eric,
The HXT900's are fantastic servos, but this isn't really the application for them. The torque for these servos is 1.6kg/cm as I recall - I like servos in fast jets to be at least 3kg/cm. Remember, when you double the speed of a model you quadruple the aerodynamic forces - while the HXT900s are fine for a 50mph model, they are a weak link in a 100mph+ model. At least go for a metal gear servo, there are many available (hobbyking and otherwise - check out RC Timer) for not much more than the venerable HXT900. |
