Sean thanks, the feeling is mutual! I really enjoy talking with you about these Lil jewels and everything else we cover. Which spans WW 1 planes to modern day Jets. Iíve started my F 35 C model today as Sean stated, But donít look for a fast completion. My work schedule during the summer doesn't leave a whole lot of extra time for building. I like to fly as much as I like too build so on nice days, Sean and I have been bending the sticks some! But watching Sean and flying one of his,I want one for myself. So I ask for your patience, Iíll get there it will just take me a little longer than Sean. The man wealds a number 11 blade like a heart surgeon! Envious of his talents on many levels!

Would it be possible to build it with a fixed fan and tailerons?

Yes it will work. be careful with the thrust left to right. thrust angels are very critical
on these little ones. the thrust cone replaces the rudders and also helps with miner left to right thrust issues.

Could anyone help me with assembly? I've got most of the parts cut but I'm still entirely confused.

I guess I am a bit confused about how to build the fuselage, especially with the filets

This is what I have so far:

mkcp40. Iíll try and help here if I can! your fillets will line up on the Bottom of the wing on the DO NOT CUT line seen on the plan. see post 80. I just snapped that picture too show the size difference between the C model and A models. Thatís why the left wing is larger than the right. Iím building the C model myself. Iíve just been busy with work and haven't had a chance to really get going with my build. My recommendation is that you print off the pictures that Sean has posted and take them to your work area, study his pictures and follow along. Iím a little hesitant to chime in here because I have not built one yet, But I would like to help you if I can.

Jim

Well, the pictures really are in order. I glued the wing spar first, making sure everything is flat tack glue it in three or four places. Then come back and glue it up solid, again making sure everything is totally flat. Then add the wing fillets, then the sides. Just like the pictures.
