NICE mkcp way to go i'm glad you are having success. The A model has a high roll rate I hope that is your Reference to it being squirrely. the C model is much calmer in a roll.
the throws i'm using are 3/8 on pitch and roll 30 expo for the a
i will get throws for the c model tonight it has differential in the roll.

25 mm prototype preformed well same as 30 mm. 40 mph 2s 50 mph 3s a little loss in power but the speeds are the same. I was given this for testing i do not know if it will ever be available

Test flew the C variant today. Yesterday's A disaster left me feeling a little worried, but I tossed the C variant and off it went. It feels a lot heavier, and is far more stable. No wing-rocking or oversensitivity like the A model.

It is the perfect plane for a baseball field (my flying area) as it is rather small and can turn quickly enough. Landing is insanely easy (the easiest of any plane I've flown) as you simply cut the throttle and hold the right stick full back. If someone's too lazy to build the TV system like me, I'd say don't worry as it is still plenty of fun to fly.

au-117- thanks for the plans. They made for a great first build experience

Now on to planning for my next one...AR6400 brushless AS3X board? Ailerons and elevator? The Eflite Mig-15 seems like the perfect candidate for a donor aircraft

mkcp once you get it all down you will fly a figure 8 in the turn of the mig and f86
with the f35. The thrust yaw cone adds another dimension for going slow.
I was so happy that the first one someone else built flew. You will like the c model
it is very stable. good job mkcp

Again nice flight and great success! Might want to consider giving some credit to au117 in your video. When you say it's scratchbuilt it suggests that you drew the plans yourself. Maybe a simple link to this thread...

mkcp40 - nice one!

I can't believe you've made 2 already and I haven't stepped foot in my hobby room in weeks, still having a half built C on the bench.

It looks like you need to dial in a little more expo and lower the rates another 10, just to take that twitch out of the inputs.

The flight was done on 2S. Is 3S safe with this fan/ESC combo?

It is a little anemic, basically just a bank and yank, going around in circles around the field.

Despite that, its an awesome plane to watch as it screams around the sky.

Nitro- the first A model took me 2 weeks to build, but I got angry post crash (and since I already knew how to build one) I got the C done in a couple of hours. Also, thanks for the tips on expo and DR, I'll dial it in and try in the morning.

Razors edge- its really not that difficult. The F-35 was my first RC build ever and it went fine.

Anyone going to do one with Eflite Mig15 gear?
