Now on a cheaper controller like a Naza, I fly manual with 50% expo more often because it was more acrobatic and on a frame meant for fun.
100% agree and I do the same..

WK-M ATTI most of the time, then GPS when needed. Now that I put my naza on a HT-FPV manual all the way with 30 expo

30% throw or expo.

I have been flying my WKM for a day or so. 10 flights about. On manual with 100% throw at 55 expo on pitch and roll and -25 on yaw.

Seems to fly nice.

I still havent tuned the GPS stuff yet. As of now if I am flying forward and hit GPS it will TBE.

If I'm hovering in ATT then GPS hold is okay.

I have a lot to trim to get it to be good.

Manual flys well enough so far.

Sorry not d/r, expo. The mk-m wouldnt even let me arm if using d/r

Are yoou saying your using trim, if so you really shouldnt trim an FC.

I hope help you.

nope.... not touching trims or subtrim... some FCs you use subtrim (ie multiwii to set neutral, but yeah)

i am meaning expo and endpoints (throw)

seems, with the poll results thusfar, atti mode is by far, the favorite mode of flying, with atti/gps coming in second.

Manual mode is best left for the kk boards, not the expensive atti kits

for me, the naza I used was 99% in atti/alt hold mode. manual was left for momentary experimentation..then quickly switching back to atti thank you.

My question is what would be the best mode for FPV? I just got a ht-fpv for my naza and pre-ordered the gps..Need to get some sharks but waiting for stock from readymade. I never have done fpv so this is new and very exciting to me! I really like the idea of having gps but didnt want to buy another wk-m for fpv..

i dont know that that is the case outside of the DJI community. And I didnt realize that was the case at all until today

if you look at the 700 sized heli pilots the majority of their rigs are as expensive or more than our and they are not using auto leveling controllers.... they use good solid gyro kits in their flybarless units.

anyways. This is really interesting to me. I love to see this kind of thing. In a week or so I will try and get a similar thread for some other controller.

thanks for your input and it is great that we can all fly how we want

blade, from my experience flying FPV (with multiwii and hoverfly) gyro only is the way to go. later in the week I should have a chance to "throw" my rig around and see how it handles in some FFF FPV

Thanks for all the input guys. This type of thing can be very useful to the companies (like DJI) and also to beginners. Different flight controllers have different strengths and the real users of those FC know what their gear excels in.

I can personally say that the Altitide hold in the WKM is the best I have ever used, same thing goes for autoleveling!

I would like to say GPS mode with Wookong but it doesn't work in AUS....so ATTI for me.

With the Naza, most of the time it's Atti however I'm fed up with the accelerometer glitch in atti mode wtih the naza. so I'm now flying more and more in manual mode.

If DJI fixed ATTI mode on the Naza that would be great; instead they tell you to go back to hovering.

that a boy (sorry to hear of you SH GPS woes... hope they make it right)

problems are a great opportunity for a company to show what they are made of.

(but lets leave it at that.... dont want this thread to turn into another DJI + SH = suck thread)

thanks for your input!

yeah I'm actually enjoying manual mode a lot more now; It holds whatever angle you set it at and there is no throttle restrictions. Makes for a much more fun fpv experience.

I was just very hesitant to try it, as once I had forgotten to switch atti on, took off in manual via FPV and had a huge crash. Took some time to get my courage up again

Gimbal works best in manual mode, Atti and GPS-Atti only as bkup.

best regards
