This is it for me. Only 3 models and they are in lockdown mode. Hope they will survive. Travel as well as flying them. I wont take them out of the box anymore until I am in CHCH. Only the speedo fuse still needs to have the fin painted, and that will happen tomorrow.
Box with content comes in at 13kg, and since there is still room it will be filled winter clothing
Only another 9 days.

Looks Good! My only concern would be the toolbox moving. Maybe put a foam wall betwee the tails and the box?

I like your packing. If I was going overseas for another flying event, I would pack just as you have. One medium-heavy wind model, one light-medium wind model and a good fun, L.E.I (Low Emotional Involvement) Model. Perfect! Easy to cart around and you always know which plane you are going to fly

Alex the toolbox can't move. A bit hard to see but those green bits are timber, which I have glued into the box at bottom and the side wall. I will put some clothing on to of the box. so when the lid is down it wont be able to move anywhere.

Getting busy now! I have a mental list to tick off every day, lucky I have lots of spare time during the day. Servos should come today or tomorrow for the heavy scorcher, wiring loom is done, just have to make horns, balance etc. Re hinged surfaces on the light scorcher last night, just have to put the servos back in etc, and I think all the others are ready to go.
Alex did you say you are near the house where Asto and us are staying? Dad and I get in at about 5AM on the 6th (I think) and are looking to rent a commodore or something- will that kind of car do the job? I didnt see much point in getting a 4x4 as the rental companies are so strict with the no off road policy, will this do for most of the terrain we will see?
