Awesome thread. I am also surprised it was so unnoticed.

Did you ever get a flight video!

Mine weighs 14 lbs 10 oz. RTF.

I have flown it with a SE-56, DLE-55, and a DL-50. It flys great with all of them.
Thanks

It comes out very light with a gas engine, I think it would be a good candidate for e-power.

making steady progress on my Slick.... major assembly and engine (DLE55) mounting is complete... I wont be installing the wheel pants. They are made of flimsy plastic and won't last long. I ordered an extra engine cowling as well, the original one supplied in my package had spider cracks and the gel coat/paint layer was flaking in one small spot.

forgot to mention I spent a few days throwing on an epoxy layer around the motor box and inside all the way back to the wing tube. A veteran pilot showed me this fuel proofing technique and I like the results.

what servos are folks using? I've been using Hitec HS-7955TGs on my 50cc setups but the cost is painful.

My wheelpants are fiberglass, yours are plastic?

Yea I suspect the ARF from ValleyviewRC is not the same quality as the Aerobeez package :-(
I really hope the wheel pants are the only major issue!

Hello,
I know I am new here but have been in this hobby many years. The only surface you need a servo like the 7955 on a 50cc plane is the rudder. Ail. and ele. you can use servo's such as 5645's or even 645's on a 6v. system and save yourself $200+. You will still be able to do every trick in the book. The only thing you will notice is the speed which is kinda of nice when landing.
