Pull-Pull cables. The cables cross inside the fuse.

I mounted the SE-56 today. The firewall was already pre-drilled.

Here's some pics of the stabs installed and the equipment mounted in the fuse.
I will finish it up in the next day or so. Hopefully test fly it this weekend.

I finished up the Slick tonight. It's RTF, hopefully the weather is good tomorrow. It has a SE-56 with a J-TEC pitts muffler,
Futaba R617FS receiver, 1 Tanic 2S 2300 mah A123 and 1 Tanic 2S 1100 mah A123. 2 JR charge switchs,
Falcon 23X8 prop, Tru-turn 4" Ultimate spinner. It weighs 14 lbs 14 oz., I could have saved 8 oz. by using the
SE standard (sidemount) muffler and a Carbon Fiber Spinner. Aerobeez has a 4" Carbon Fiber spinner available,
I wish I would have ordered it when I ordered the plane. I plan on ordering one Monday. I have owned at least
20 different 50cc planes and I have never had one that's this light. It should be lots of fun. Here's a picture.

It was way too windy today for a test flight, I will try again tomorrow.

Today was a great day, the weather was perfect. I put 5 flights on the Slick and it did great. It has lots of power with the SE-56. The Slick flies precision manuevers and 3d manuevers really well. It's slightly nose heavy with the 4" Tru-turn spinner, I think the lighter 4' Aerobeez Carbon Fiber Spinner will make it balance perfectly. It pulled slightly toward the canopy in knife edge, but I think that adjusting the CG will eliminate that. It rolls and snaps pretty quick on high rates but it's very doclie and easy to land on low rates. It lands really slow. It tracks great, I had fun flying long slow rolls with it. Snaps stop instantly when you release the controls. I did pretty much everything that I could think of: blenders, waterfalls, walls, poptops, knife edge spins, etc. I like how it flys, I'm planning on having a lot of fun with it. Here's some pictures of it and my Aerobeez Yak 55m. When I have time, I plan on putting some graphics on the Slick.

I ordered up a 4" Carbon Fiber Spinner from Aerobeez, I think it will look great on the Slick. I plan on flying it some more tomorrow.

I just read through all of your post and I cannot believe that not one person chimed in. Keep up the good work and nice looking plane. I do have a question though. Did you run into any problems with the kit at all as far as assembly or was it cut and dry? What did the ARF cost and how was the customer servive where you bought it?

I bought it from Aerobeez, here's the link.

http://www.aerobeez.com/87-30-Scale-...-Airplane.html

The build was very straightforward (the manual comes on a CD and is excellent.) The only problem that I had was there was a small amount of glue in the blind nuts that are used for wing retention. I ran a 6mm tap through the threads and then it was good to go. I had to do the same thing with my 26% Aerobeez Yak 55m. I haven't had any problems so I don't have experience with their customer support. Their shipping is really fast, I had it in the same week that I ordered it.
