Between one 4s vs two 2s, I've had better overall results with two 2s side by side right in the middle of the tray.

I would disagree, I did a battery testing thread and the results heavily varied.
What battery did you like the best?

Tested the R 30 on 3 battery combos. 3S 4400, 2x 3S 2200 in parallel, 2x 2S 3300. All 3 started out fine but started slowing down after 1-2 minutes. Boat handles great!

Gens Ace packs. I've ran the 2s 5300mah 30c packs in several different boats and they ran great I also have the 4s 5300mah 30c packs I run in parallel in my pursuit and she scoots along rather nicely.

scoot?

You are running 2, 4 cell 5300 packs in paralell?? for 10,600 Arent two of them a little heavy?? around 1400 grams? Must abe able to run for a very long time. I thought the pursuit only needed one 4-cell around 4500 - 5000???

Am only asking bcause I have a pursuit on the way and have not yet decided on packs, or a high output charger for that matter.

Charger wise, just go with something like the accucel 6. It may not be the biggest charger but it's my only one (kinda) and it charges all my packs no problem, even up to 4S 5000mah.

This looks like the boat for me!

Question though, can I run this boat in the ocean? With waves? Not too big of a waves.. Also, what about in a canal that is fed into the ocean? Not sure if the canal water is salt-water or not.

Running in Salt water

There's a little more maintinance when running in salt water. You've got to clear the cooling system with fresh water and then some WD40. Also the salt will take the shine off your hardware quickly.
I took my R30 to Maine with me and had a blast in the ocean except when I picked up seaweed. This happened several times and the steering goes away completely so, you may have to go get the boat.

Revolt runnin good

Had my Revolt out today at Columbia MD. I put a Voltron GPS in it and clocked 42.6mph on several runs.

I'm waiting on a Grim 45 X 68 to see what a difference it will make.

Good times

Grim 45 X 68 lifter

The conditions from last weekend to this past weekend couldn't have been more different. Last weekend I clocked my Revolt at 42.6mph with an Octura X642 and the boat was hard to keep on the water due to the windy conditions.
This weekend I had both the X642 & the 45 X 68 lifter. I ran both, no wind, the X642 ran 42.6mph and the 45X68 ran 42.9. The lifter seemed noticably faster until I looked at the gps. The lack of any ripples on the water really seems to slow things down. Both props are ballanced & sharpened.
Both runs are with a Hyperion 4S 4200mah battery (new) and a Velocity RC GPS. The only adjustments I've made are to raise the strut until it was at "0" checked with a straight edge. I have also replaced the Collet & Flex shaft with OSE parts.

Hey Guys

I've been flying helis for a couple years now but on occasion run my aquacraft Rio EP.
The Rio is brushed and not real fast so I would like to get a more upgraded faster brushless boat. With all the reviews I've read I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Revolt 30 or the new Impulse 31 V2 from Pro Boat.

Which boat do you think I should get?

Thanks
Travis

The Impulse is a bit more money, but the ESC can handle 6s as long as you prop down. For my money, I would get the Revolt. I've heard they're easier to get handling nicely and are a bit faster out of the box.

Revolt 30 hits 47.8 stock except prop

My Revolt 30 hit 47.8 mph today in Centreville VA. Recorded on gps.

The first run was 46.6 run 2 was 47.8. I did take photos of the gps for internet proof but, only the 46.6 photo came out clear. you can kinda make out the 47.8 if you try.

The prop is an Octura M545.....I doubt you can get much more outta this boat without an upgrade motor & ESC.
