I recently went through my RC photo archive and it brought back some great memories of projects past and good times. I thought it would be fun to catalog some of them here on my blog since it is not always easy finding content from the early days here on RCG. I hope you enjoy it!

Kavan Partenavia twin circa 2001. This was my first aerial photo platform. I used a small pen camera and used a servo to trigger the shutter from my gear switch.

Tamiya Hummer circa 2000. BlackwidowAV 2.4ghz 10mw Tx and CX-161 camera. As you can see I knew diddly squat about RF antenna polarization.

This was my first GWS Tigermoth circa 2002. I put floats (foamfloats.com) on it and used surplus Qualcomm Li Ion cells for 25 min flights on the stock brushed motor in Florida.

This was my first kit build circa 2002-2003. I integrated lights into the airframe during the build. It ended up a little heavy, but looked cool in the air and was a blast to fly at sundown in calm conditions.

My first Slow Stick. This was my second photo platform after the twin. Circa 2002.

Moved to Colorado in the fall of 2003. Only kept a few planes and the Voyager. here are some early shots of some flying locations.

I had a blast with this one. I added the EDF tail mod and a scale body at one point.

This thing took a beating while I learned how to hover! Circa 2004.

piccolo looks really cool with the scale body. whatever happened to piccolo, that company seemed to get big all in a year or so and then disappeared quick.

Yep, I also found getting parts was a hassel. My Voyager E also had short parts supply after 2004.
