...has anyone tried this one? - is it aerobatic on the stock power setup???

I'm thinking about ordering one. Looks like a fun plane to fly. I don't think I would use the stock 7x350 in it. Flight times would be very short.

I hope the quality has been improved. We started to carry the line from PB models but had nothing but trouble with the quality. The Mini Fun fly was an idea adapted from the Diversity Models Butterfly.

Well I got one of these mini fun fly planes ordered now! So the quality is good or bad for it? Do they fly good? Areobatic???

What can I expect out of a Jeti 15-4 equipped version. I am contemplating 10-4 or 11-3 prop, direct drive on 8 cells. I realize that I will increase the wingloading over it's intended application, but I was hoping to gain some NCFAA practice during the winter months in Michigan? One HS-55 per aileron, and one HS-81 on elevator sounds OK?

Anders,

I have a 15/4 on a Fundango. I've only tried it with a 9 x 5 Graupner Slim Prop. The performance is EXCELLENT! As a matter of fact, it's the only combo I've tried that works worth a darn on the Fundango. These planes appear to be very comparable... it should leap off the runway and go vertical on 8 cells. Most of your flight will be at 1/4 throttle, then punching it for vertical climbs or super fast rolls. I was using 800AR's, CP1300's would be the way to go for longer flights at the same weight. I hope this helps.

The quality has been improved rapidly. This guys know how to build a nice models. I keep almost all them in stock plus all spare parts. They are excellent.
PB mini is comming already with Speed 400 and still is for 80.00$.

...i went ahead & ordered mine, too - from Kirk @ New Creations - he's setting me up with a Rocket motor, MPI gearbox, 8 cel 350 nicads - he said @ around 15 - 16 oz. it should be close to a 1:1 power to weight ratio...

...i wanted something aerobatic to fly in confined spaces...

My experience with the PB fun fly and the Butterfly has been with mostly direct drive. With this setup and 7-8 cell 600mah you get less than 5 minutes run time. At 15-16 ounces, rocket motor, 350 pack and MP Jet reduction drive I would expect less than three minutes of run time.

We designed another aerobatic model from the Gnat 280 with a little longer wingspan and with the 600mah and reduction drive I can get only about 6-7 minutes of run time at 17 ounces.

modest-master I have the toys! Palm Bay, FL, USA Joined May 2001 1,236 Posts	Quality !!!! The quality has been improved rapidly. This guys know how to build a nice models. I keep almost all them in stock plus all spare parts. They are excellent. PB mini is comming already with Speed 400 and still is for 80.00$.
