MyRcMart's X450Q Quad Build Tutorial (Using KK Board)
EDIT: For reasons I will not disclose publicly, I had to remove all images and videos from this thread. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
This thread is to help many people who, apparently, struggle to build their first quad using a KK board. I received my X450 quad and all the RCX components from www.myrcmart.com For a complete review of this quad with flight demos, you can go check out the review thread I posted here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1651563 Below I will post a series of six videos explaining how to build the RCX X-450 quad. Each video has a theme as shown in the videos titles. In the videos, I show you how to connect every single electrical connection; Connecting the ESCs to the battery and building a power harness, connecting the ESCs to the KK board, connecting a receiver to the KK board. I also explain how to use the KK flash tool and I go over all the necessary pre-flight checks. Essentially, the videos show me building this quad from the ground up all the way to the sixth video where I test fly the quad and do final gyro gain adjustments. If you follow these steps, you will have no problems building a quad even if you have never done this before. Now here are some relevant web pages you will need to refer to when building your quad. To download the KK flash tool and the needed drivers, go here: http://lazyzero.de/en/modellbau/kkmulticopterflashtool For more important information, visit the following links: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attac...mentid=4546427 http://www.kkmulticopter.com/index.p...d=55&Itemid=57 http://www.kkmulticopter.kr/index.html?modea=manual Important Note: The only thing I did not go over in the videos(I forgot) is the swash plate settings in the transmitter. Under "heli" mode, you want to select "2 servos 90 degress" or "Normal" swash type. I also did not go over expo settings and throttle curves because this is quite subjective to each pilot's preferences. Most pilots use a simple linear throttle curve, and personally, I do not use any expo. Now here's a flight demo of how this bird flies for me outdoor. ![]()
Special thanks to MyRcMart.com for the help, and many thanks to quique65 for answering all my questions. You're help was priceless, Sir. Best, Chris |
