Yes Chris the same as the wooden head I made for the PT25 head I'm using elevator for pitch and the head for roll I will use the same configuration when I build the Comper C25
Had a flight this morning with the Mk2 nearly a disaster the rudder servo decided to misbehave but I got it down in one piece its on the bench for replacement and should be flyable tomorrow weather permitting and video ASAP

Hi Fanis
The heli version was only to give me pre rotator and a fly bar for control the same as Jodinis Schluter Whopper and not for jump take off
Many people have and still are experimenting with jump take off but no results so far but its only a matter of time before someone is successful

The Wot 4E flew well after the rudder servo was replaced video to follow

G'day Joe
I was telling Rich a couple of days ago that I had tried to order some HK heads, but found they were O.O.S. I think that I have a pretty good idea who purchased them all.
I am guessing that the wot4 conversion must just about be at the top limits for the HK head and you have it flying great mate.

Chris I wanted to order some for the hotel but as you say O O S on back order waiting for an email to say when back in stock there must be a lot of gyros out there using this head I only have five
The model is lighter than the HK C30 and I will post some angles dangles and weight after a few more tests

Joe,
Cracking job, I remember talking to Bill when he came over to my house a few months ago about converting the standard WOT 4 (well he was trying to convince me it would be a good idea). I think it looks great and I am sure it is very light?

How about shrouding your mast in that foam like you sent me? I thin coat of balsa loc and I bet it would cover with some film if it was set on a lower heat setting? Or a depron sandwich?

Regards

Rich

Hi Joe
That looks real sleek!!
Don't know about adding anything to the mast.....I was thinking it looks fine as a single thin post on such a streamlined shaped fuselage.

Seems to fly really well in a good breeze.....should be ideal for Winterton!!

Cheers
Rich

That does finish of the model a lot better, and I am interested in your angles as I myself have a biplane that I have been flying as IC & E for over 20 years that mite just look good as an autogyro with a lower wing.

Still to cover balsa fitted spats
AUW just under 3 lbs
Motor 6deg down thrust
Head 8deg back
Hang angle 15deg
Hope this helps with your bipe conversion

Thanks for that........that is pretty much the numbers that I would have expected, although am still pleasantly surprised the weight that the HK head will handle .

Bill I used the std HK C30 blades and head 36ins
The one in corfu had the PT25 head and blades 38ins
The PT25 setup flew slower I will try different blades on the HK head later
I would like to try a two blade version also
