Had a break from building helis and new models for the fleet and experimented with a spare Wot4e fuselage and the mechanics from a small heli to see if I could have pre-rotater and a flybar controlled head but my home made blades I think let me down and I could not get it to fly
But I have another idea

Removed the heli parts (but will get back to the idea when I have better blades) and made a wooden pylon and the head from my p25 going to test with some short hops and will post progress rudder and elevator roll on the head with manual adjustable tilt angle

After a few test hops and a couple of roll overs I managed to get it trimmed before getting into a circuit I was lucky that Tony van Geffen the editor of RC Model Word magazine was on hand to take some photos and has offered to video the next flying session here are a few pics video to follow
It handles much the same as the PT25

Just fantastic Joe In the depths of Corfu and he finds enough bits and pieces to create a Flyable model autogyro. For me I think that is just an amazing achievement and I can just only guess your are pretty chuffed with yourself.

Nice photos by Tony, a bit more practice and he will get the hang of them , is he going to have a go with the WOT425 E ? See if you can turn him to the dark side?

So did you add any down thrust at all? or is the fuselage light enough t get away with it with the PT head and blades fitted?

Rich at the Hotel there are loads of bits but never the the bit you need
Going to try a two blade setup later if I find the bits
Tony had go with the PT25 before I borrowed the head and I will get him to have a go on the Wot4gyro

Second flight dressed it up with spinner cowl and spats a thunder storm was due so it was a short flight I will fly it a few more times then check the angles etc and post
I hope to try a two blade version nextthen get back and try the helicopter idea

Back in Scotland Mk2 with HK C30 head and blades hope to test fly today if the rain stay away
I will add soft balsa to the frame and blend it into the fuselage then cover with film
