I like the "old school" plywood sheeted wings. I am starting to build with old materials and techniques again too. Nice job on the mould and part!

I think that's a fine motor for this plane, assuming you go with a 60A ESC, I'd run a 6-cell LiPO for sure (it'll be a rocket!) - sized (mAh) based on weight and desired flight-time. For prop selection, I'd get all three sizes. Once you know your AUW, you can bench test the motor + different props easily to measure thust and draw. Otherwise, there's lots of motor+prop+AUW info. on other forums.

I have used that size motor for many 3d planes in the 1200g range. 3S lipo and apc 14x7E prop or 4S and 12x6E prop.
