Ford Tri-Motor Comes to Atlanta

Come join EAA 690 in celebrating the return of one of the most historic aircraft still flying...the Ford Tri-Motor. For six days over the Memorial Day weekend, the Tri-Motor will be available for flights from 9 am to 5 pm, weather permitting. Media flights will be conducted on Thursday, 24 May, beginning at 1:30pm. Flights are $80 per person with co-pilot seat available for $125. Saturday through Monday the chapter will have burgers, hot dogs and drinks for sale.

Register on line at www.flytheford.org or 920-426-6530.

Bring the family out to LZU to enjoy this historic aircraft. For additional information, contact Joel Levine at (404) 314-7573 or contact him via email.

I just booked the biplane ride over atlanta, otherwise I would go for it... out of curiosity, how long a flight do you get for $80?

About 30 minutes. Great flight. I've got it in my log book for the right seat. Also a great photo opportunity!

May have some R/C aircraft on display as well as the Gwinnett Amateur Radio Club operating the Chapter 690 station - W4LZU.

Joel I am a bit confused:

On the AirVenture website, it states the Ford will be at Falcon Field (Peachtree City?).

EAA 690 is at Briscoe (Lawrenceville).

The big airshow tomorrow is at PDK.

Which airport is the TriMotor at??? I dont want to drive to the wrong one...

Even if you don'f get to fly in it, it's worth seeing and photographing. In addition we will haves some R/C planes on display and the Chapters radio station, W4LZU will be operating. Should be fun.
