Banana Hobby customer service STINKS!!!

Just tried to get some technical info from the Banana Hobby people (Corisa).

Absolutely NO HELP with the BlitzRC controller they sell.

I guess this is a lesson-learned to buy from the REPUTABLE online hobby shops ....

Or more accurately one with prices high enough to be able to afford customer service.

I hear ya, Nitro and Banana only care about the number on your credit card. Get a nice Electrifly or Parkzone/E-Flite model instead. Can't take a double or nothing chance with NP or BH. Either get a great deal or a big deal.

I have had sudden death problems with PZ servos and the wimpy 700ma BEC in the stock speed control in my PZ Reliant. The nice thing about PZ/E Flite is availability of replacement parts and support. I replaced two PZ servos with Hitec HS-55's though.

I wish I had known how bad Banana was BEFORE buying one of their cheap products.

My throttle lever is screwed up. When it's down the motor is full-throttle. When it's up the motor is off. The controller doesn't have any reverse switches. I can't figure it out.....

It's a TG-461S.

2.4ghz, 4-channel.

I even peeled off the faceplate sticker thinking there might be switches under it ... but no such luck.

Thanks for any help!

You probably checked in the battery compartment, but worth doing so if you have not...some cheap radios hide the reversing switching in there.

And some hide them on the bottom of the TX, as well.

Bound to be some switches hiding in there somewhere.

Update:I googled the model number and found an ad that states the radio has a servo reverse function, so all you have to do is find it.

http://www.himodel.com/radios/SPRING...et_Mode_1.html

Update number 2....I found a working link to a .PDF of the radio manual.

The reversing switches are indeed in the battery compartment, per the manual.

Reversing the throttle channel ought to solve your problem.

Remember, Google is your friend....

Thomas B, you are THE MAN!! I Googled for an hour and only found some Chinese websites that were meaningless.

Thanks for the support!

Who needs Banana Hobby's help when you have a resource like this website! Thanks again!

Before !!!!! you buy, do some research. Or, at least, come here and ask someone.

Glad to help! The averge Joe on R/C groups knows 152 times more technical info than the poor minimum wage folks on the phone at BH and NP.

So, keep coming here and asking and we will help you out.

It took about 10-15 minutes to find that working link....it became a bit of a quest...

it's like going to walmart - if i wanted concierge pampered service i would shop at Saks 5th Ave. just have to understand what you are getting into when buying from them. price vs support. The other 2 HK and NP are the same lately also. haven't been able to get someone on phone or even online chat at HK for months now.
