What did you fly on Halloween

The weather was AWESOME here in NJ for this time of year. I had a half day of school, I'm a teacher, and I went to the local park and flew my tantrum (first brushless motor setup) and my fantastic models' texan on dual ips.. Was just so much fun I had to share..

I fully intended on getting a flight in on the Darth Smaul just 'cause it seemed so appropriate. But then I got bogged down hanging Halloween stuff and helping the kids with costumes. Oh well, there's always tomorrow So are you hooked on brushless now? You can never go back. You'll be hocking the microwave to go buy your next BL fix

It is 7:00 pm here and it is EIGHTY DEGREES! I'm sitting here in shorts and a t-shirt and I'm still hot. No rain in a month and temperatures like it's June. Air conditioning just kicked on. This is wacked!

I wish I could fly.

20 deg.

20 mph wind.

Snow.

All these pesky kids begging for candy while wearing a
baseball cap and acting like it's a costume.

Bah humbug.

Tres, the brushless is awesome.. But to be honest I enjoy my gws zero or the texan much more.. Maybe its just the tantrum thats not "as much fun"... Brushless in a warbird.. thats what i think i need..

flew the rz2500 powered formosa today. No wind this morning. Testing out gws 1080 prop,, works well, but limited vertical. So far, best prop is apc 9x7 slow fly. Not too much speed, but unlimited vertical. Only problem is I keep bending gear shafts with the apc prop. Thermalled the formosa! I felt a warm gust flow by, and seconds later formosa waggled its wings, so, we turned in, cut throttle to idle, kept a sharp right hand bank, and proceded to gain altitude! HAHA! What a lark! Only kept this up for about 15 seconds as formosa wanted to stall and continue flying. Thermaled gws zero in same park a while back.

Took my youngest child to the field and flew an hour's flight time with my brushless fleet.....Exhila, Tantrum, and UB 30. Then took the kids trick-or-treatin'. Perfect weather. Perfect day.

It was a beautiful fall day here. Got one flight in the morning and one in the evening of my Razor 400 powered Alfa P-51.

I flew my Mini IFO with Curtek lights to scare and entertain the local Trick or Treaters. Lots of positive comments!

I just wonder if I could afford to paint the bottom of a SS with this new stuff

Follow the link to UltraGlow. Sounds amazing to me, but a bit expensive.

8 degrees at 7 pm!

Winter hit us on Tuesday, but today it got sunny, calm, and about 30 degrees so the Tiger Moth went on neighborhood patrol. Sorry I didn't get the perfect in-close shot like thunder1, but I was snapping and flying at the same time, which I hope thunder1 wasn't!
