picasim - an awesome ds sim and slope sim at only 1 dollar!
hey guys, so i have been playing around with picasim on android and ios
there is a free version on android, but i suggest buying the paid version for 2 dollars because it comes with a panoramic ds scenery and a plank ios doesnt have a choice, $1 but well worth $1 the ds experience on this sim is awesome in my opinion, i can only imagine what it would be like playing on a tablet or ipad. also thermalling and f3f racing is fun as well. i have some settings for mode 1 users that i think will be very useful, mode 2 will just have to use the same values. alright so these are some steps. 1) choose free fly 2) choose the genie 3.6 m, i have found this the most stable and efficient in ds 3) choose mountains (panoramic) if you have the paid version, if not, choose mountains - dynamic soaring site (3D) after choosing this it should load. 4) click the settings button. 5)in options choose advanced 6) under simulation settings, choose physics accuracy 10 if you have a pretty fast processer, if not it doesn't really matter i think. 7) under graphics settings, move the ambient lighting scale from 1 to around 4. this will make the plane a lot easier to see because it will be brighter. 8) under free fly settings choose display speed, this will tell you how fast you're going 9) now on the top menu choose controller. press load - choose mode 1 flaps 10)click advanced. scroll down to right stick horizontal movement. change the scale to around 0.6 change the exponential to 2.00 the highest it goes, you will need this to be smooth trust me. 11) scroll down to right stick vertical movement. this is where you want to get rid of flaps, they are more a hassle than good. change the scale to around 0.00, it is hard to land right on 0 but you'll get it eventually. 12) left stick horizontal) change the scale to 0.50 13) left stick vertical. change the trim to +0.02 change the scale to 0.50 change the expo to 1.5 14) now click save!!! call it what you want, i just called mine ds time 15)prepare yourself for some awesome ds/slope soaring on mobile/tablets. i've added a few photos to show the general dive in/out area. enjoy!

Sweet!
Why dont you just ride a normal bike in AJ? ![]() Heres a few vids I came upon the other day. Pretty old so most have probably seen them, but still pretty interesting- skip the boring bits! It mentions one familliar rc name when they were a lot younger too!
They are smart guys! |
