picasim - an awesome ds sim and slope sim at only 1 dollar!
hey guys, so i have been playing around with picasim on android and ios
there is a free version on android, but i suggest buying the paid version for 2 dollars because it comes with a panoramic ds scenery and a plank
ios doesnt have a choice, $1 but well worth $1
the ds experience on this sim is awesome in my opinion, i can only imagine what it would be like playing on a tablet or ipad.
also thermalling and f3f racing is fun as well.
i have some settings for mode 1 users that i think will be very useful, mode 2 will just have to use the same values.
alright so these are some steps.
1) choose free fly
2) choose the genie 3.6 m, i have found this the most stable and efficient in ds
3) choose mountains (panoramic) if you have the paid version, if not, choose mountains - dynamic soaring site (3D)
after choosing this it should load.
4) click the settings button.
5)in options choose advanced
6) under simulation settings, choose physics accuracy 10 if you have a pretty fast processer, if not it doesn't really matter i think.
7) under graphics settings, move the ambient lighting scale from 1 to around 4. this will make the plane a lot easier to see because it will be brighter.
8) under free fly settings choose display speed, this will tell you how fast you're going
9) now on the top menu choose controller.
press load - choose mode 1 flaps
scroll down to right stick horizontal movement.
change the scale to around 0.6
change the exponential to 2.00 the highest it goes, you will need this to be smooth trust me.
11) scroll down to right stick vertical movement.
this is where you want to get rid of flaps, they are more a hassle than good. change the scale to around 0.00, it is hard to land right on 0 but you'll get it eventually.
12) left stick horizontal)
change the scale to 0.50
13) left stick vertical.
change the trim to +0.02
change the scale to 0.50
change the expo to 1.5
14) now click save!!! call it what you want, i just called mine ds time
15)prepare yourself for some awesome ds/slope soaring on mobile/tablets.
i've added a few photos to show the general dive in/out area.

That's a good SW but I'm facing troubles with my touchscreen been not so touchable this makes me crash always.. it's difficult to keep a clean line when dsing maybe using a Joystick would be better...
I tried to config expo, travel ajust,etc,... but it's reach a controllability limit

Hi Andre, did you set it up just like I listed? If so it should be not too bad, and it takes a bit to get used to as well!

I would call it a quadricopter rather than a helicopter, but cool nonetheless!
They could just attach a 10-foot spring to a pogo stick and have the rider wear one of those propeller hats...boing you win!

E-bike boys, looking to get a 29er and put an electric kit on it, hoping it can go about 20ks on one charge (that's how far it is into wagga and back, and obviously don't want something stupid powerful still want some excersise lol! Timbo that gng 450w setup looked pretty cool, would you reccomend that, the v2 or something else?
Also have you guys seen ktms new freeride e? This thing looks freakin awesome, way of the future for sure,

Why dont you just ride a normal bike in AJ?
Heres a few vids I came upon the other day. Pretty old so most have probably seen them, but still pretty interesting- skip the boring bits! It mentions one familliar rc name when they were a lot younger too!
They are smart guys!

Josh.... AJ needs electric , as he already like a Match stick with the wood shaved off..
GNG450 is great off road..... Off I was commuting , I'd go hub motor for sure.
Crystlyte hub are the best.
Asto 's set up it the best IMO..
V2 of the GNG , will be interesting , there is a new thread on endless-sphere.com about ( as you already know I guess).

hahaah lol, match stick with the wood shaved off, have to add that one to the book!
i was leaning towards the v2 because i dont think they make many 29" hub motors? and this way the weight stays in the centre of the bike more??
what batteries do you run timbo?
also just watched the video on the gizmo freakin awesome man can't believe how fast it goes on the front!
you planning on going sunday arvo? i should be there...
