With X6 you can flight an Octo and gimbal. With X4 only hexa and gimbal.

The X4 + navigation is the best and cheaper than the X6 for the same stability.

I connected, as recommended in the manual, channel 8 of the YS to the PPm channel of my FrSky,
I selected PPM in the parameters setup of Remote Controll Mode and checked with "get" that the change was registered in the GSC of my android tablet.
I also made a channel calibration again.
But when moving the sticks of my TX (Futaba 9 ZAP) nothing happens in the datas(figures of rudder etc…are not moving.)
Its like the RX doesn't work or doesn't communicate with the YS.
Any idea on what's wrong?
Is the FRSky V8R7SP supported by the FW or not?
Did I do something wrong or forgot something in setup?
I didnt see any reply nor comments to my above post.
Nobody had a similar/same issue?
I am still stucked with this problem.
Any idea/solution? Help please!

I can't believe the only difference btw X4 & X6 is the octo compatibility ...

Do you suggest to wait for the new X6 ?

It is weird we can nowhere find the difference btw these ...

The difference is not only that.

1. Waypoints: the YS-X4 is limited to 8 waypoints and the YS-X6 can have unlimited Waypoints.
2. Position Hold: This is from personal experience. The YS-X6 when in PH stays in one position whereas the X4 tends to move around a bit. Not much, but for some this may not be acceptable. It could just be tuning, but who knows.
3. Size: The YS-X4 is substantially smaller than the X6.
4. Configuration: YS-X6 allows 8 motors + Gimbal control whereas the X4 allows 6 motors + gimbal control or as an alternative 8 motors and no gimbal control.

The YS-X4 is designed for the hobbyist whereas the YS-X6 is designed for those serious about what they need the system to do. For instance, I have sold the YS_X6 to surveying companies who need to be able to fly more than 8 waypoints and need that extra stability when in position hold.

If I had a choice and money was not a problem, go for the YS-X6. But if all you are going to do is a bit of hovering and taking some pics, then the YS-X4 will be the system to buy.

I must say that for me the ys-x4 works a lot better then the x6. I use graupner hott radio and with the x6 I always had interference on the baro due to the telemetry signal of hott. With the x4 i don't have this issue. Plus x4 handles vibrations better then the x6. So for now the x4 has better dampening and is better shielded. But the new x6-p will also have better dampening and better accelerators.
