Mr_Westie, thanks for that. I don't mind carrying out more testing but it does soak up tremendous amounts of time and I have to mix it in with my normal family and workplace commitments. You are hinting at what I already believe...it just cannot be directly the YS-X6 causing a rapid discharge of the battery. The problem seems also only seems to manifest itself under load...ie...in the sky (It will sit there all day, every day, battery after battery being run with no props on at half to full throttle with respectful times). I can easily return the NAZA to the F450 frame with a mix of almost anything but I know that what ever the permutation on the NAZA/F450 set-up it will run well and as expected. My battery charger is an Overlander RC-6S AC Pro with a built-in AC/DC adapter...I guess there are better chargers on the market but this charger has performed well up to now, be it one battery at a time.

Suggested test without the eLogger, using what you already have.
Fully charge batteries.
Hover for 2 mins on each pack. 2?
2m+ Altitude.
Charge them and note the mAh put back in.

Swap the FC back to the Naza.
Do the same.
If the mAh is vastly different, > 5% then we can only conclude something is wrong with the way the X6 is driving the esc.

Video all runs from a tripod if possible.

The only thing I could think of that would make the X6 use more power is if it is not tuned properly and wobbling.
Using more power than if it was in a stable/solid hover.
Having to adjust thrust all the time may do it.

Mr_Westie, many thanks for that info, I have already ordered the Eagle Tree from Fast Lad...should be here within a couple of days...at least it is another tool in the box rather than another piece of kit that will be sitting around idle. I'm just in the process of fully balance charging up my 4 x 4S 5000mAh batteries (2 x Turnigy Nan-Tech, 2 x Volt-On), all of them have excellent discharge rates. I will update on completion of the tests.

anybody have this problem before. I plug the ys in I get one quick white light flash and then nothing. The wifi lights up the flight controller lights up the receiver lights up but no red lights for searching for sat. Just nothing. Any ideas?

Make sure you stick inputs is right left is left and right is right mine also do it then i find out the stick inputs was wrong you can check it on the tablet or pc

Welcome to ys-x6 they have a long way to go before it is explained right like lets say a naza system....

Did you set end points on motor and esc individually?

Do you have led lights?

Do you have wifi and phone/tablet can you see telemetry in gcs?

Pull both stick at the same time left to the left bottom and right to the right bottom and motors should arm.

I have not seen your prior post so do not know where you are at in setting it up. All these things must be checked and done first.

I have set up the esc individually with the esc following program card.

The LED blik three times red.

I have connection between android phone and the heli.


PS. Nothing happen when I try to arm the motors.. but I can see I have connection to the radio in GCS.

Well i am in kinda the same boat so hopefully we can get some pros on here to help us out.


I had that issue once and it was the motor's not stroked.

Not esc config, we need to configure the throttle range.
It should still arm up even if you have not done this.
They may not spin up together and lead to poor performance.

A quick video showing your stick movement and values in the PC GCS would really help.

So weird un pluged the gps from fc plugged it back in and now everything is ok.

Ok everything is working except load way points. I am getting telemetry through gcs. When upload way point the red dot does not change color or blink like it is suppose to do.

Now I did have a minor crash a few weeks back did a flip no major damage gracked landing skid, gps got a few scratches on it that's all. now I can not load way points at all. Any suggestions?
