This kit is NEW, IN BOX, only opened to verify parts and condition when I got it, everything original from Top Flite and it is a BEAUTIFUL plane. The kit is in new condition, stored indoors, all parts still in original bags. I intended to convert this to electric power (that's all I fly) but I no longer have a place to fly something this size and have scaled back my hobby. Breaks my heart to sell this because it is beautiful. I have seen this plane powered by a 60 or 90 size e-flight brushless and 6 cells and it was really impressive, as it is a light well built kit.

Older models have a battery hatch that was covered over right in front of the canopy when the company was going to offer an electric version. Does the fuse have the battery hatch that only needs to be cut out?

This is the fuel only model, no prebuilt hatch. All the conversions I saw either fed the batteries through a cowl opening or by removing the wing. The central structure is beefy and I was going to just cut out a hatch on top probably as you described. But, that is for some other modeler to work out and customize. Unpacking this thing again to check for this hatch reminds me why I wanted it. Man it is nice looking! Ugh.... Maybe when the kids are older.... To avoid putting a lot of photos online for questions like this I did look the model over and checked it against the manual (in the box and online at Top Flite), it is identical to the current version and as far as I can tell, defect free (it is all still in original parts bags and boxes). So if you go to Top Flite and download the manual all the assembly instructions and photos are accurate.
