Passed from passing gas

A group of British 'scientists' put forth a theory that dinosaurs passed away by passing gas.

They even manage to tie it into global warming.

Note to 'scientists' I think you may want to check as to exactly how many dinasours there were as opposed to the mass and scope of the planet. Your thesis is a tad hard to believe.

Of course they did but maybe they should cross check their data with the big @#$% rock that nuclear wintered the planet and gave mammals the leg up.

As best I recall, the dinosaurs were extinct before the origin of grass, the major food of large herbivores today. Grass is difficult to eat and wears teeth down fairly rapidly. I've read that if we had herbivore dinosaurs today, they would soon wear out their teeth on grass.

I recommend this book.

Herbiferous dinosaurs were never so abundant as to cause a global catastrophe.

If you know of published data contradicting the authors estimates of sauropod density, and the authors did not cite it, it would be good of you to call it to their attention.

Incidentally, there is no mention of extinction in the study under discussion. Here is an news release on the study.http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0507102324.htm
