I think it wouldn't have hurt to talk with him first. You raised the issue that he is new, has no feedback, and that his item was a good deal, then asked the general membership to check it out.

I agree, if he was scamming he wouldn't announce it to you. BUT, most scammers aren't going to give out phone numbers and go through a conversation about their item. You never know what he would have said, and you might have met a great trading partner.

Well, I didnt mean to raise such a stink. A friend of mine told me I should list the trex on RC groups, which I had never heard of. He said it was a good site. I have always bought from places like ebay and amazon and other businesses type sites with great feedback. I was afraid some people would think like the topic says, because Im considered new with 0 trade ratings. Maybe sometimes we forget that we all start at the bottom I`ve been guilty of that So, offended.. no. It probably helped my sell.
RCSwitz maybe sometime we too can trade

You did nothing wrong, YOU didn't raise the stink. Someone else did. You did what EVERY other seller did at one point, you listed your first item for sale.

Don't let your first introduction to RCG be your last, overall it's the best place to buy and sell RC stuff, notwithstanding the paranoids here and there.

I am sorry for starting the thread. ITs just better to be safe than sorry. I have been scammed too much online, just wanted to see what others thought.

If you are really sorry for starting the thread, delete all the posts and shut the thread down. Calling out a new member is not being "safer than sorrier"

If you continue to get scammed online, at some point you have to look at your buying practices. Are you using Paypal with backing from a credit card? I know they are sometimes a poor company to do business with, but until someone else comes along they are the best ones. Dealing with LPU folks is also other option but I know those opportunities don't come along that often.

I'm glad saltpepper was able to come in and introduce himself. I'd love to give him his first feedback.

How did I call him out? I guess its bad to use this forum then! Key words: Trader Talk. I was checking to see what the RC Community thought. Nothing wrong with that.

You started a thread labeled "sounds fishy", then questioned his join date and lack of feedback. Do you think that because you didn't call him a fraud or a scammer that this is much better?

If you really wanted to know if the items were priced right, you could have asked that. "hey is this a good deal", or "is this a fair price to ask", but you weren't looking for that feedback. You wanted to let people know that you thought something was off.

So now that we know it doesn't look like a scam, you have said you are sorry you started the thread. So mean what you say, and say what you mean. Either close the thread, or delete it.
