Cool
MQX Hybrid Nano Quad & Sick Micro Speed Boat Conversions!

I know, I know, dont need to hear how should be posted elsewhere... Notion is if this "wurks" a lot of people who roam indoor/micro/micro rtf would think this is pretty cool, - a nimble nano dsm2 as3x QUAD for less than 80 bucks. All parts arriving monday...

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1646089

could have just wasted money but idk well worth another slot on my DX7 if works

heres a good video review it it stock

The World's Smallest Quad Copter with 6 Axis gyros in production today. (7 min 50 sec)

really I'm not good enough to make quad from parts bought (hk or other) programmed together - Had to go route of arf or bnf just wanted something different and small

@40mm and 5grams can there a more obvious conversion than this, um that is 1.5 inches!!! will probably end up making custom frame eventually go full thin carbon fiber
8.5 geared to 7mmDD - Im okay with that, have had excellent luck with 7mm motors will last with good cool down, and many spares

kicks and giggles

gonna try these 1st got all the props - will run 6mm till they don't anymore just to get everything operating correct - maybe make a lite foam 4" body - just to see how MQX does with different motors - like I said an as3x quad board for 36 bucks - worth playing with for sure surprised others haven't already... maybe Im missing something obvious

me too surely not DD 8.5 - but 6mm or 7mm DD hope it'd be okay, probably not my 7mm hots but maybe red or orange...

in the end lets hope its as least as much as the tiny ladybird quad

big part of the reason I'm doing this convert dsm2 - 7mmDD over 8.5geared

1) love the size weight savings
2) have burned through 5x more geared 8.5 then I have 7mm ttfanprop (this combo keeps going used again and again) (10x more 6mm motors)

working of a lite 6mm motor frame now - kfc lid might do the trick has degree on it to help orientate

Looking forward to your conversion. For some reason I though the receiver and board were one unit, interested to see how you will adapt it to the spektrum receiver. I've wanted one of these but didn't want to have to use their transmitter.

Hi Azarr,

heres what I was thinking... just switch out RXs to different frame.

1) bought all ladybird rc parts besides rx - no tx either - 7mmDD & all frame bits
2) bought only MQX as3x full quad unit by itself - separate unit 1.5" 5 grams

figure put awesome MQX RX on awesome ladybird frame/motors/setup - BAM!

best of both worlds - DSM2 & 7mm DD hopefullt very quick and responsive - like 7DD better than 8.5 geared

worried about the draw of this models motors so I think I'll keep it stock for a bit (minus frame of coarse) mine has not arrived...

rx and motors work perfect just waiting on booms, shoulda been here today but stuck in portland a day longer...

so many interesting projects got going right now...

had to google - maybe it could be done but you'd need at least 3 rx
