tower 46 on the bench

i feel im rich on the low speed but its running ppretty good. its running a power box muffer with baffle removed.

i havent flown the wood prop or muffler since removing the baffle

Have a little patience. Your activating the throttle too quickly (time span wise). Let the engine idle for 30 to 45 seconds. If your right, the crankcase will load up with it excess fuel. Then hammer the carb to full throttle. If the motor hesitates initially in acceleration, your right.

low speed needle is too lean. dont try to squeeze every drop of RPM out of the engine. see how the engine hangs a bit when you cut down to idle after running wide open? youre running too lean.

definitly looks lean to me too, i am also wondering why you took the baffle out of the muffler. its there by design and the bit of back pressure it provides to pressure your tank more is worth alot more than the mayby 500rpm and 10Db of noise it cuts out is worth alot more to the neighbors of your field.

i reinstalled bafle and it hasnt helped low end tuning you are correct it mae plenty of power with the baffle and i couldnt see any increase with it off.

just the need to tinker made me do it
