Got an old traxxas rustler...
Have the '96 version of the traxxas rustler that my kid has an interest in charging up. It's been in the closet for probably 7 years so I am confident the batteries are toast.
This is probably a silly question.
It has a lrp runner plus esc and a monsters of touring 19 turn double. Is it possible to use the Lipo I have for my plane on this? I have 3s 2200 mah 30c. Will that just fry the esc?
Is there a cheap setup to get this car up to date?

Even if you find an ESC to handle it, you'll want a bigger battery than 2200mah for a car this size. They typically run on 4000mah-5000mah packs now. You'll have to drop the gearing to keep heat down with the extra voltage too.
It'll be cheaper for you to just buy one or two 2s5000mah hardcase packs from hobbyking or hobbypartz than to get a new ESC.
