How is 299 cheaper than 280 (from your link)?

Anyhow can get it for about 245Euro in a swedish Hobbystore with full warranty, so count me out.

Sorry Machy2k, i don´t follow...

Anyway, i got interested in the Spyhawk so I looked around a bit.

Here is a good review:
Review: Hubsan SpyHawk FPV (part 1) (11 min 58 sec)

Watch all 3 parts and decide for yourself.

If you are already decided to buy it and dont care about good reviews watch "Flitetest" thoose guys are fun to watch, but seems to LOVE everything, atleast if they get payed to do so.
Example: Flitetest about the manual: "Look pretty pictures in color"...
Rcmodelreviews: "Chinglish" "FWD and Backwards movement of the stick makes the HELICOPTER ascend and decend..."

This RTF FPV has a lot of issues.

Hi Guys,

I can see that there is some confusion; so I need to explain:
299 on this link includes shipping.
280 on e-bay is not including shipping; with shipping it is more than 300Euro...
So, it is cheaper here for the RCgroups members.

Yes, I am sure that many places would advertise it cheaper but may not have stock.... as they get them shipped by sea... it takes ages to come.
I had mine delivered by DHL from China to get them first; so I have stock now, and always...
I hope you understand and apreciate that in this light I am more than reasonable....

About the plane flying performances...
I had to balance mine with a few grams in the nose... that helped...

The fact is that it glides rally well but it is too stabilised.
We would like the stabiliser to be disconectable sometime... but it is not. (not yet)
I also asked for the stabiliser gain to be adjustable, and they investigate now how to implement it.
Apart for that, I find myself flying this one more than my other much more expensive kits as it is so easy to transport, use and abuse.
You can also let your grandma try it, (once up), with no drama and a lot of fun.
Hope this help.
Alex

Yes!
There is a big-brother to this one coming, might wait for reviews on that one.

The Spyhawk FPV IS amazing, everything you need to try FPV in an RTF airplane! Just wonder why they choose to make the antenna for the Video like that (see my link above), you need to aim the Tx towards the plane to get picture, strange design choice!
Also the Tx current draw is about 1 Amp, this thing really need a BIG LiPo in the Tx.

The other flaws are OK for me I could live with them, but the crappy antenna sort of puts me off.

I dont even know that much about antennas, but the common way to mount a FPV Video reciver seems to be on a tri-pod with the antenna vertically mounted, would it be hard to get that right on a TX? I think The "Dummy-antenna arrangement" on the Tx could work, providing you work at keeping it vertical at all times.

After drooling over the spyhawk FPV videos by Alishanmao, I put together my homebrew SpyHawk with $200.

And speaking of antenna, I invested $60 on a good pair of circular polarized antennae @ readymadeRC.

Plane almost ready to fly (without receiver only) - $31,
Turnigy 9x transmitter + receiver - $40
video transmitter - $20
camera - $35
video receiver - $23
4.3" LCD - $35
