But, we are worth it...

So, 54% of the owners of the company say that executive remuneration is unacceptable.... but the vote against it isn't 'binding'.

Aaaahh... if when I was at work I could have just decided that I was worth whatever I wanted, irrelevant to the views of those that I worked for..

The deal is 'you make a deal' - once you've made a deal it's binding.

The deals I make are the best I can strike up, for me - nobody else!

That vote may not be binding, but the next one to replace them all is...

My daughter thought she needed to make more than minimium wage for pretty much babysitting and feeding a CNC foam cutter. I said for that for what you want you need to be able to do it without the CNC... $20 an hour to click a mouse 3 times wait 15 minutes, replace wing with foam blank and repeat... this job could be done while watching TV. (I would know)

$7 per hour for a 10 year old is good money... I gave her the chance because I was swamped.

Me, I'm paid enough. Otherwise I would move to another company. No recession in the oil industry.

It appears to me that the OP is showing a rigged system which the shareholders disagree with.

And they also have the option to kick up a fuss and vote however they want.

I'm letting you know, HF!

I always thought I was overpaid - as I thought others were, as well!

(See, not everyone thinks the way you may expect.. )

P.S. And shareholders own the darned company!

I'm definitely not paid what I'm worth

I'm definitely paid more than those I contract to me would like to pay for my services

Seems I've pegged the market about where it is then!

I recall a study that stated greater exec salaries (for large companies) frequently came along with poorer company performance. Not always of course...there are CEO's like Jobs and Gates who definitely earned it.

Do you mean these executive "workers", who HF has agreed never "thinks they being paid enough" - whatever their performance!

(And who also, despite being told by the people who employ them, also think that only they know their own worth! )
